MiceAge has reported very exciting, yet unexpected news from Disneyland Park in California. John Lasseter, head of Pixar Animation and of the Disney Creative Team took a leisurely stroll through Disneyland to take a look at two possible backstage areas for future “E-Ticket” (popular, and expensive Disney attractions, i.e. Space Mountain, Indy, Pirates, etc) Disneyland attractions. One of these two backstage areas is Disney’s “Circle D” backstage building behind the Rivers of America/Frontierland that is currently used to stable horses at the park. The other is located behind the Innoventions and Space Mountain buildings in Tomorrowland. Lasseter and Tony Baxter, the Imagineering Executive for Disneyland Park, are considering putting two new big attractions in the park by the middle of this decade instead of simply reviving older attractions like they have in the past decade (Tarzan, Nemo Submarines, Space Mountain, etc). As of now, it is unknown what these two attractions will be and only still a rumor, but they would be the first E-Ticket attractions to open since the Indiana Jones Adventure, which opened 15 years ago in 1995.
